This past Thursday Metaverse Mod Squad employees had the pleasure of meeting with Full Sail University’s Game Design Program Manager, Chris Keeling. The session was very informative and gave those who could attend information about enrolling at Full Sail University, whether it is online or at their beautiful campus. After the presentation attendees were given the opportunity for some Q&A where any and all questions were answered.
As you may or may not know, the electronic games industry generates billions of dollars in revenue annually, and shows no signs of slowing down. Full Sail University aims to help those with a passion for gaming whether their true love is for game design, art, or programming to gain the knowledge and tools that will help them succeed in an ever-growing medium.
The focus of the meeting was mainly on the Game Design Online degree where potential students can educate themselves in courses such as Storytelling, Game Mechanics, Prototyping, Level Design, and Usability. Being a current student, I can say wholeheartedly that deciding to attend Full Sail has been the best decision that I have ever made. Their curriculum and knowledgeable instructors are engaging and continue to push me not only technically, but also creatively.
With more and more universities offering programs geared towards gaming, why Full Sail Online? The answer is simple, convenience and knowledge. While taking any course online will require you have a certain level of responsibility and maturity, it does offer you the ability to approach each course and its respective curriculum when it fits your schedule. Most assignments are due on Wednesdays and Sundays, giving you the option to plan ahead and decide when is best for you to complete the required work. Instructors genuinely care about the students and even with them being in various time zones, they are never ones to shy away from helping and giving guidance.
